I would like to paint my radiators rthe same colour as the walls, is it safe to paint radiators with emulsion paint?

Yes it's "Safe". However radiator paint is often recommended (which usually only comes in white) as it's special "high temp" paint so it doesn't fade. We've painted several radiators over the years (and pipes) with emulsion and non-radiator paints with little side effects. I think the only issue is how quickly it fades and whether or not it peels.
